Ah, spring, when a young man's fancy turns to bluegrass. Well, at least
that's how it works for the already hitched male. Yes, once you have
love, the energy that once fueled the urge for conquest is turned to
more artistic pursuits. For instance, I've written a couple of songs
in the last few months. I'm pleased to say that one of them, Ragged
Mile, gained some recognition in the annual Mid-Atlantic Songwriter's
competition.
DR is booking spring and summer jobs now.
May is shaping up; we have the Alice Ferguson Foundation Spring Farm
Festival at the Hard Bargain Farm on the 3rd, Tiffany Tavern the 9th,
and Arrtomatic on the 17th. We will be back at the Hard Bargain Farm
Amphitheater in August. Some of the stream-able songs on this site
were recorded there last summer, and we are grateful to the folks
at Hard Bargain for working with us on the recording. On July 11,
at Watermelon Park in Berryville, we have the opportunity to perform
with the Country Gentlemen, and we are very much looking forward to
playing with and for such friendly folks.
If you are interested in booking us, including
us in your will, or just swapping recipes, we'd love to hear from
you. Also a reminder to check out our guest book, as there are some
humorous exchanges there.
I'll close by saying "Have a great spring,
and come see us, y'all."
